CrateWire identifies and analyzes the tracks in content you supply — an Instagram post, or a DJ mix you upload or link from SoundCloud / YouTube. We do not host, cache, store, or redistribute that audio.

To recognize a mix we fetch its audio transiently, fingerprint short segments, and discard the audio as soon as the scan completes. The only thing we keep is the resulting tracklist (artist, title, timestamp, confidence). CrateWire is not a downloader and provides no way to download or play back the source audio.

You may only submit URLs and files you have the right to analyze. By scanning a mix you represent that you own it or are otherwise authorized to process it. Don't use CrateWire to infringe anyone's rights.

If you believe content surfaced through CrateWire (for example, a saved tracklist) infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent including: your contact details; identification of the work; the CrateWire URL at issue; a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act; and your signature.
